We are a Canadian family-owned company based in Burlington Ontario. Our business started in Hamilton nearly 80 years ago. Being in the produce business, we offer Canadian product whenever it is available. We sell year-round Ontario grown greenhouse lettuce. During the spring and summer months we use Canadian product in our packaged salads, and we market all kinds of Ontario and Quebec grown produce on behalf of farmers, many of whom have grown for Ippolito for decades.
However, for other field grown commodities there is no Canadian supply during the winter. We use U.S. origin commodities out of necessity – but we process, and package in Burlington and ship product on our Ontario based fleet, employing over 250 people in our province.
